DEATH IS A PART OF LIFE.

At Deathcraft, we create space to honor it with care and reverence.

Hi, I’m Kat.

I am a deathworker, cat mom, and licensed cosmetologist based in Kentucky. My path to this work has been shaped by chronic illness, grief, and a lifelong calling to care for others. After years of navigating my own health challenges and experiencing profound personal loss, I found myself drawn again and again to the word death doula. In 2023, I followed that call through formal training with the Deathwives’ Deathschool, stepping into deathwork as both a vocation and a homecoming.

Through Deathcraft, I help bring conversations about death, dying, and grief back into the heart of community life. My offerings include grave tending services to honor and preserve the resting places of loved ones, with more to come: advance care planning gatherings (think of them as death-positive “parties”) and a curated shop of ritual tools and resources to support both daily practice and sacred thresholds.

I believe that deathwork is sacred, human-to-human work — and that talking about mortality is ultimately a way of living more fully.
